A visit to Josie Clouting’s art show - Oxfordshire Arts Weeks
Oxfordshire Art Weeks opened on Saturday and runs countywide until the 29th of May. I was able to attend the private view of a lovely friend on Friday – Josie Clouting.
Josie and I go back a long time, with a fond friendship formed during her time working at Emerald and exhibiting her stunning paintings in the gallery over the years.
Now based in Oxfordshire, she is joined by @valentina.gonzalez.artand @yvettephillips_art at the Blewbury Clubhouse for Oxfordshire Artweeks from May 6th to the 14th for her current exhibition.
Displaying an exciting collection of Oil paintings, Josie’s looks at places that make us feel inspired and insignificant all at once. This new collection of works focuses on wild places in the British Isles.

Come on inside – An exhibition of Abstract paintings by Julia Weston
Come On Inside at Emerald Gallery.
Julia Weston is a London based part-time artist and a part-time educator. As a mixed media artist, working on panels and paper, Julia uses a wide range of mediums including acrylics, inks, collage, and mono-printing - utilising anything found to hand including drawing tools and free-hand machine embroidery.
Where We Roam - An exhibition of landscape paintings and ceramic sculpture - Julie Wetenhall and Caroline Selvey
Where We Roam is a joint exhibition featuring paintings from Julie Wetenhall and ceramics from Caroline Selvey. Julie and Caroline are artists who have the connection of creating and exhibiting together for over a decade as two members of the Wycombe Court Artists.
They have come together at Emerald gallery for our latest landscape series exhibition - Where We Roam which opens this Saturday (1st of April)
