Family Ties by Susan Mackie and Ali Mackie.

Family Ties is a mother and daughter collection of paintings documenting their individual art paths, which are interwoven with a shared narrative. 

Coming from a family background rich in botanical knowledge, it is not surprising that their work, although varied, shows a common thread of plantlike forms from garden inspiration.

Working from their respective studios in North Yorkshire and Buckinghamshire, through supportive conversations ideas flourish.  The finished work shows how each interpret their own unique approaches to mixed media art making.
