Ali Mackie
Made of Place: Finding the ‘Everyday Magic’ with Ali Mackie.
Ali is a contemporary abstract and mixed-media artist who specializes in capturing what she beautifully terms "everyday magic." Her practice takes botanicals - familiar, and ordinary objects and transforms them into curiously abstracted, deeply textured compositions. Through her playful use of acrylics and mixed media, she injects an uplifting energy into the spaces her art inhabits.
In conversation with Caroline Crawford
There’s something instantly familiar yet dreamlike about Caroline Crawford’s paintings. In her new exhibition, Mango Jam, she explores the beautiful blur between memory and reality — how the places that stay with us change and soften over time. Through her rhythmic use of colour, line, and texture, Caroline creates abstract worlds that feel alive with movement and emotion. Each piece invites you to wander, to remember, and to feel. We caught up with Caroline to chat about her inspiration for Mango Jam, her creative process, and the stories that shape her work.
