‘Tumulus III’ is a monotype ghost print inspired by Cornwall.
‘Tumulus’ refers the ancient burial mounds that are often found hidden amongst the gorse in these dramatic locations along the headlands of Cornwall.
A unique, original print created using oil paints, with added hand drawn lines using carbon paper, and block shapes applied using paper templates and acrylic paint. A ‘ghost’ print is when the plate has been put through the press a second time, leaving a very faint image.
Framed in a slim walnut veneer profile and ArtGlass.
